Tips for Crate(Air Box) Training
Share
Crate training utilizes a dog's instinct to find a comfortable, safe space. Proper crate training can help dogs adapt to being alone and improve self-control. It is not about restricting freedom, but about cultivating the ability of adapting to new environments.
Step 1. Making Good Impression
When the crate arrives home, don't rush to install the door. Allow the dog to come and go freely and reward it when it becomes interested.
Step 2. Sense Cultivation
When the dog does not resist entering the cage, you can gradually extend the stay. Let the dog eat inside the cage, for example.
Step 3.Extended Stay
Gradually increase the amount of time your dog spends time in the crate, from a few seconds to a few minutes. Keep your dog quiet and avoid anxious barking.
Step 4. Space etiquette
Observe your dog before leaving the crate and keep him calm before opening the door. This will avoid excitable behavior after it going out.
